AMTA Online Courses
Introduction:
AMTA’s online courses are based on either the Business of Massage textbook or on articles written by experts in the massage therapy industry. Massage therapists understand the importance of staying current in their profession, how it impacts the care and services provided to our clients, and thus, participate in continuing education routinely.* AMTA Online Courses provide users with a convenient way to reinforce existing knowledge or to learn new knowledge and skill sets.
The courses offered fall under four broad categories: business, ethics, modalities, and self-care. Online Courses are available through AMTA’s web site any time day or night. Users who read an article and complete the quiz receive either 2.0, 2.5, or 3.0 Continuing Education (CE) Hours, depending on the length and depth of the article. The CE Hours awarded through the Online Courses can be used toward the AMTA’s professional active member CE requirement of 48 clock hours every 4 years.
American Massage Therapy Association is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider.
